Fall mornings can be chilly, and so there's nothing more comforting than a nice warm bowl of cream of wheat. My mom used to make it for me when I was little, and now I make it for my family. It brings me so much joy and happiness to continue this tradition and make lasting memories for my daughter.
To kick things up a notch, I decided to give this bowl of comfort a luxurious makeover by adding some very special ingredients. I'm all about making things fancier and higher class.
Peaches and Cream of Wheat
A perfect Fall morning
- Cream of Wheat {prepare as directed on box}
- Canned or fresh peaches, diced
- Half and Half or whipping cream
- 1-2 tsp Coconut Palm Sugar {or any sweetener you prefer}
- Mix in some coconut palm sugar.
- Add some diced peaches.
- Stir in some half and half.
- Enjoy the smooth and luscious taste of a Fall morning.
This is such an easy breakfast, and would be amazing served at a brunch with all of the toppings on the side. Everyone can add what they like.
