Day 6 of 25 Days of Christmas with BeckyCharms 2012
Day 6: Advent Calendar {lime hard candy and a "package" note. She picked a bag and inside was a Tinkerbell puzzle!}
Christmas Movies: Veggie Tales Saint Nicholas "A Story of Joyful Giving" and Elf {Remember it's 2 for today because we missed yesterday.}
We put it together twice! |
So this morning, that's exactly what we did. We caught up on our Christmas movies by watching Veggie Tales Veggie Tales Saint Nicholas "A Story of Joyful Giving" first, and then directly after watching Elf. Needless to say, it was a very cheery, holiday spirit-filled time in our house.
Next on the not-so-official agenda, lunch with Auntie Jenn! Not sure if we were still on for the day, we shot each other a few texts, and sure enough, we had to hustle but nothing was going to stop us from getting there.
Poppin' fresh and ready to go, we were en route to downtown {*sigh*} and ready to meet and eat!
Location: Nordstrom Cafe. It proved to be a perfect place for the three of us super ladies. Watch out world, power trio in the house.
I had coffee and a snowball.. a snowball was a round dome cake with raspberry and cream fillings, covered in coconut. It was like an adult Zinger.. and that's not a nasty thing. I say, YUMM.
From there we drove through Seaport Village, along the Embarcadero, past the airport where I started daydreaming of all the places I'd like to visit, and how I would like to take Tiny Baker on numerous adventures, then to Point Loma, and finally back home via Pacific Coast Highway to the I-5 South. It was a fun drive, singing Christmas carols {courtesy of 95.7 fm, thanks!} and making funny faces at each other. That was quality car time at its best.
Stopped by Bubbe's for a few, because if we hadn't, well, we don't call her Bubbe for nothing. Can you hear the guilt trips now? Ay, ay, AY, ay, ay...She's the perfect Bubbe! {we're not Jewish.. just saying}
After dinner, we decorated the tree! Tiny Baker was jumping for joy, she was so excited! She said, "I love decorating the tree by myself." I said, "we're doing it together." She said, "I know, but I love decorating it by myself." She's very independent. It was a beautiful time, all three of us were together. Then we turned off all the lights, watched the tree, and felt blessed for all we have.
Let's hope tomorrow will be just as fun..!
