Day 2: Advent Calendar {2 hair elastics; 1 purple, 1 blue}
Christmas Movie: Mickey's Christmas Carol
Schedule: We went to church this morning at Concordia in Eastlake, especially to see our friend's baby get baptized. Then did a little shopping for groceries and comestibles at Walmart and Sprout's.
We didn't get home until around 2:30pm, and the day was almost over.. So exhausted.
Alas, Mr. Google had hung all the Christmas lights on the house and our white picket fence.. very Christmasy.
We had a little late lunch, and right now, at 4:31pm, Tiny Baker is "taking a nap". I don't know if she's actually sleeping or just laying in her bed, but either way, this mama gets a tiny relaxing moment. *exhale*.
This Christmas season feels rushed already. I mean, it's already Day 2, and weekends are getting scheduled, dates are being filled up with places to be and people to see. We don't even have a tree yet! It was on the list for today, but I'm going to have to postpone that until tomorrow.
I'll post pictures of our tree before and after.. as soon as we get it.
Christmas means different things to different people.. but remember that we are all one, sharing this special time with family and loved ones. I think instead of getting caught up in being "politically correct" {which is an oxymoron}, we should wholeheartedly wish one another with whatever greeting we believe in, and in the same manner, accept one's greeting with understanding and compassion, and wish them well with our own. I say "Merry Christmas".. and then I tack on a "and Happy Holidays" at the end from time-to-time, if I know I'll probably never see them again or if I won't see them until after New Year's.. It's not ignorance to wish a Jewish person "Merry Christmas" or a Christian "Happy Hanukkah". I believe it's better to say something than nothing. Share the cheer and charm this Christmas season.. and share it with your heart.
