Day 3 of 25 Days of Christmas

Welcome to Day 3 of 25 Days of Christmas.  It's Saturday, and it seems that every Christmas festival, play, parade, and light show are going on today in San Diego.  Like this is the BIG weekend, and if you want to see something, it has to be today.  I'll have you know that I didn't plan for this 1st weekend to be so important.  Therefore, I didn't write anything on my Google Calendar.  That doesn't mean that today will be a total loss.  This weekend will still be spent well; outings with my little family, Christmas tree shopping, a hot Skinny Peppermint Mocha.

Tip: NEVER order the cold peppermint drinks from Starbucks.  They burn due to the fact that the peppermint is so strong.

IKEA has Christmas trees for $20.  They sell out fast so we're headed there now.  Today is the day for some cookie dough making, and gingerbread baking.  I'm going to have some very surprised family and friends this year.  They will be receiving surprise packages in the mail, in addition to their Christmas cards. Shhh, don't tell.  I said it's a surprise.  I just love sending and receiving mail.  Anyone want a pen pal?

Bakerella, if you've never heard of her nor seen her website, has the CUTEST gingerbread heads.  I'm going to give 'em a go.  So clever.  Check them out here.

Must-have: assorted sprinkles for decorating.  They're for much more than sprinkling on top.  They are perfect accents, and can be used for hats, hands, noses, cheeks, and pretty much anything else you can imagine.  Creativity is so much fun.

Have a super today, and make it something magical to remember.
