One of my favorite sites that I check daily {read that as ALL DAY} for fun ideas, projects, inspiration, and items to buy is Etsy. Every day they have a Featured Seller, and today's is The Costume Cafe "NotTheKitchenSink". The creative mind behind {UPDATE} "NotTheKitchenSink" The Costume Cafe is Sara Carter, a wife and mother living in Houston, TX. Even after first glance, you'll notice right away how awesome and amazing her costumes are and the quality they possess. They are so cute, and quite frankly, worth every penny for a handmade creation.
She speaks about appreciating handmade goods, being an artist, and how it's okay to put most everything else on the back burner during the busy Halloween season when she's so wrapped up in sewing those adorable costumes. It's okay if your house gets a little dusty, the dishes build up a little, and you eat more frozen meals. It won't last forever, and knowing that there will be a few hundred happy kids walking around in one of her homemade designs makes it worthwhile. {She doesn't mention anything about your house getting dusty and messy those other 11 months. Shhh, we won't even go there.}
Read more about her and her awesome story here . Stop by and visit her online shop. You're sure to find something you'll love, for one of your own kids, or a kid you know!
Congratulations Sara Carter of NotTheKitchenSink on being today's Featured Seller on Etsy!!
I am a fan. A huge fan.
